We have been very successful in building the basin, thanks to the hard work of our brilliant volunteers and the donations from national and local businesses. Our next major step will be to build the towpath bridge at the junction. We estimate this will take about two years, hopefully starting in late autumn.
As volunteers we will not be allowed to connect the basin to the canal. That will have to be done by approved contractors, and so we need to start raising £50,000 now.
